Our Beginner Jive workshops have proved an extremely popular and beneficial way of speeding up your learning pace and increasing your confidence in the early days of dancing. 

During the workshop we will cover many fundamental aspects of dancing.   These will include; lead and follow technique, spinning, finding and dancing on the beat and understanding the needs of your partner in this male lead dance.  The workshop environment lends itself perfectly to working on and practicing all of these elements.  

Introduction to Dips and Drops

We welcome you to sign up individually or as couples for this workshop.  We will 'partner' you on the day should you decide to make a booking individually. 

Special Event Workshops
Our workshops can also be tailored for wedding parties too.  In the past we have taught the bride and groom along with 30 friends and relatives 10 or so moves. This was held a month before the wedding so that there was plenty of time to practice before the wedding day.  We also joined the wedding reception to give everyone there a few moves to get the evening going. 

This is growing in popularity and we have, on a number of occasions provided lessons at wedding receptions.

We can also help with your 'first dance' for your special day too!  We take great pride in helping you to prepare for special day.  There are some beautiful moves that will help your photographer and friends to capture your first dance with some very unique and picturesque poses.

DJ’ing services
We are also available for hire as a DJ for your Modern Jive party. Our other speciality is evenings with an 80’s music theme.  For prices and further information please contact Colleen.
